Biography
Growing up in Wichita, Kansas will teach you a lot about yourself. What it taught me was that, above all things, I did not want to live there any longer than I had to. Please don't misunderstand me: Wichita, for all of its shortcomings, was a good place to grow up. It just was not for me. Eighteen years in any place will drive you crazy.
Thankfully I had parents that made my childhood the best I could have ever asked. My father is a man whose talent is only restricted by the years in a life. A professional boat racer, mason, and bar owner, my dad has done more in his prime than most in their life. And just as influential to me was my mother- the most beautiful person I have ever met. I cannot describe how much she means to me. She is a teacher and mentor to her students, our family, and everyone she meets.
They instilled in me the confidence to any and everything and the drive to make it happen. Despite a father who fought tooth-and-nail against it, my mom enrolled me in tap, ballet, and jazz at the age of three. I loved performing every mediocre cartwheel, but they were exactly that. I found I was much better at singing and performed my first solo at the age of five. Things took off from there, and it became a passion I would never lose.
High school ended as quickly as it began, and spent my last months living in Wichita, Kansas. After applying to numerous schools, I decided that Belmont University was the place for me. It is a small, private school in the big little city of Nashville, featuring a top-tier music business and entertainment industries program. My goals transitioned from being a performer to making the performer, working on getting the music from few heard by many. A new interest emerged after taking an intro to sociology course; Dr. Andi Stepnick opened me up to a new way of looking at the world. I continue to pursue both of these majors in my studies at Belmont, as well as implement my knowledge of both subjects in my artist management company, W.K. Cash Management.
Currently, I'm hard at work to make this company the leading artist management company in Nashville. Today's industry is going to require a different leader with a broad skill set, and I am going to be the one to do it.
